Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Foundit (also known in Korean as "어디뒀지", the "Service"), provided by the Developer. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose

These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Developer and users.

2. Service Description

The Service is a mobile application that helps you record, search, and manage personal belongings by saving item details (such as name, storage location, category, note, quantity, photos, due dates, and lending status) on your device.

The Service does not require account registration.

Core item data is stored on your device by default, and the Developer does not upload or store it on a separate server. Some information may be processed through backup, restore, sharing, ads, analytics, crash diagnostics, OCR, update checks, feedback, external SDKs, or external apps as described in the Privacy Policy.

The Service is provided free of charge unless otherwise stated. If paid features are introduced in the future, we will provide notice in accordance with Section 9.

3. User Obligations

You agree not to:

  • Collect, use, or misuse another person's personal information without authorization.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or attempt to access it in an unauthorized manner, including reverse engineering, exploiting vulnerabilities, or using automated tools to overload the Service.
  • Store or share unlawful content or content that infringes third-party rights, including copyright, portrait rights, personal information, or privacy rights.
  • Misuse backup files, shared files, or import features to distribute or process malicious files or improper data.
  • Violate applicable laws or public order.

4. Data Storage and Management

Data you create in the Service, including item information, photos, locations, categories, app settings, and statistical data, is stored locally on your device, and you are responsible for managing it.

The Developer cannot directly access your locally stored data. To the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not responsible for any loss, deletion, corruption, or inaccessibility of data unless caused by the Developer's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

You may delete stored data in the app, for example through Settings > Delete All Data. If you uninstall the app, data stored on your device may be deleted in accordance with your operating system's policies.

Backup files, shared files, and data exported to external apps are managed according to the storage location or external service selected by you. You are responsible for keeping important data in a safe location and for managing backup passwords.

5. External Services and Connected Features

The Service may integrate with external SDKs or external apps for ad delivery, app analytics, crash diagnostics, OCR, update checks, sharing, saving backups, and sending inquiry emails. These processing activities are described in the Privacy Policy.

Availability, policies, failures, and data processing practices of external apps or external services are the responsibility of their respective providers.

6. Restrictions and Enforcement

If you violate these Terms or applicable laws, we may take reasonable measures to protect the Service and users, including limiting access to certain features or providing notices or updates.

Because the Service is not account-based and uses local device storage, enforcement may be implemented through feature limitations, in-app notices, or app updates, as appropriate.

We may provide notice in advance when reasonably possible; however, in urgent circumstances, notice may be provided after the fact.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

We are not responsible for service interruptions or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, network failures, operating system changes, device conditions, app store policy changes, or failures of external SDKs or external services.

You are responsible for the content you store or share through the Service, including photos, notes, location names, and lending information. We do not review or verify user-stored content and are not responsible for disputes arising from such content.

OCR, statistics, notifications, widgets, update notices, and similar supporting features are provided for convenience. Recognition results, notification timing, statistics, and update information may not always be accurate or complete, and you should verify important information yourself.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, except where caused by the Developer's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

8. Privacy

Our handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If material changes are made, the effective date of the updated Terms will be shown at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are intended to be interpreted in a manner consistent with applicable consumer protection laws. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory laws in your country of residence.

If a dispute arises, you and the Developer will first attempt to resolve it through good-faith discussions.
